I did research on it some years ago and found it to be one of the best charities I terms of helping intended beneficiaries |

Wounded Warrior is creepy, not sure I get why using the ad is wrong. I think I read a book by the guy who started that special ops foundation if he was originally in the Air Force WWP is Susan G Komen like. Not saying they don't help people but charities don't scale well. Small and efficient is ideal, IMHO |

Yet the employees and executives make way to much. The trickle down of the funds to the cause is very bad. Like 10% or less actually goes to the cause. Much better orgs out there like the Fisher House and such. |

WWP is a fucking scam. I know people that got limbs missing and they only got a Tshirt or some minimal shit from WWP. They all agree it's pretty much a scam. IIRC, you have to more or less ask to do certain things, like hunts etc. They put it out, people put in for it. I could be wrong, but I think that's how it goes. No idea about stuff like housing adaptations etc. I know for local stuff, you can more or less sign yourself up. Things like game tickets, golf events etc. |

Keeping people active. |

I personally give to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Semper Fi Fund, Navy/Marine Corps Relief, and the VFW Foundation. Whenever I see a Toys for Tots barrel, they get something, too, as they helped us when I was a kid. I know the VFW Foundation only gets 3 stars, and that bothers me a bit, but I enjoyed volunteering at my local VFW. DK-Prof has visited there, too, when we were both in St. Louis. In the Philippines, the special operations community is small enough that I am able to give directly in most cases where it is needed, most recently when we lost 7 members of the Philippine Marine Force Recon Bn. |

So once an actor dies he should never be on tv again? I doubt he was paid for those spots. It was charity It's different when a guy makes a movie and is paid. In my opinion Do you like the banned John Wayne Beer commercial that I can't embed? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPsc2uotAKo |
