This would be a good start- a lot of churches and all of these so-called "reverends" and other "clergy" need to lose their tax exempt status. Isn't there some sort of law about threatening to incite violence/encouraging violence?

so from the few articles I've skimmed, it seems their whole case is built on something the LEO may have said (I couldn't tell with all the sirens and background noise) and the claim that he planted a gun.

Regardless of what actually occurred, that seems like a pretty dubious argument to successfully make.
