Where is a good place to order the 5inch tactical? My pa really wants one.

I bought one of mine at Cabela's and the other at Gander Mountain.  Both were specials that came with accessaries including an extra mag with one of them.  In MI we usually get better pricing and service out of those two because they price match.

XDs are fairly common in most gun stores now.

The 9mm Tactical should be fairly easy to come by.  You may have to order other calibers, particularly 45acp since it's still very new.

XDs have some nice features but I don't care for the way they transfer recoil to the hand/wrist. Other pistolas out there don't have a sharp pop like the XD. Perhaps it's the geometry or the weight ratio (due to the lightweight frame).

I like my Sigs.

sharp recoil? every 9mm has a sharp recoil impulse.

the xd45 had less recoil than my 1911's. it much more of a soft push

I just got an XD-9 4" on Saturday. $483 and some change out the door.
'06 kit. 3 mags, sidearm, stupid plastic holster. They redid the finish process/ formula, so it looks alot better than the one I 86'ed last year.

BTW: I HATE PLASTIC HOLSTERS!!!

I shot a buddy's XD40 and it had a sharper recoil than any of my Sigs. Again, I'm guessing it's a weight and/or geometry issue.

i was pointing out a higher quality "plastic" holster for you.   the hogue i was talking about is plastic also

yes but it's well made.

plastic/kydex can be a very good rig.

i am pretty much using blackhawk serpa holster for ccw now. lighter than leather and none of the moisture issues.
