Called FN today about question on the new PS 90 coming out. After the rep answered my question I thought , hey what the heck. I asked him if they were going to come out with a semi-automatic SCAR version. To my suprise he said that they were researching it now and that they have to fill all the SOCOM orders first and to expect to see it around 2007-2008. He also said that the actual name of it will be the ARM (Assault Rifle Modualar). It will be available in many calibers (5.56, 7.62, 6.???, and something else in the 3's they were considering, I dunno, seemed like another awkward caliber, forget the actual number

. FN did however state that it will not come out in 7.62x39, although he did hint that their may be one that the miliatry uses in that caliber

. All together I will say that the rep was very upfront and informative, looking forward for 2007-8

I asked him about ordering one with a triple rail and he said to just request one when ordering, and that the one model has it where you can remove the hollow sight on top. Then mount what ever you want.

Addition: forgot to mention that the current heavy version has a 11 inch barrel and the civilian rifles will come in 16" and 20" barrels.

Perfect timing. Let's see, there will be the mad rush because it just came out, then there will be another mad rush because Hillary will be president and want them banned. So that'll make the gun store price about $5,000 with a mile long waiting list right off the bat.

I guess I'm not going to be able to get a ~~SCAR~~ ARM.

I was told 2007 when I asked a few months ago. I posted all the questions and answers in the Armory, but it's probably in the archives by now.

So I guess my point is, that I'd call dupe if I could.

Seriously though, don't be surprised when fifty people come in to tell you that you're a liar, and twenty to come in and start talking about how bad the 5.7x28 round is.
