This was a good movie up to the point where he shoots down the helicopter with his PPK.

9mm bullet design has improved greatly over the years.

No actually it wasn't a good movie. From the beginning.

The movie was very lacking.  I was really disappointed with Waltz.

CR was the best because it felt down to earth and real. Now we're back to super villains and crazy tech which is how Pierce ended his run at playing Bond.

In for a penny, in for a pound, bro. If you're willing to buy into 007....how can you then pick certain scenes that strain your credulity?

People seem to blow off the fact that by watching a movie - they are having someone tell them a story.

It's not real.

I've liked all the Daniel Craig 007 movies.
I thought SPECTRE was great.

sidenote: In political discussions, I always parallel SPECTRE with the Clinton Foundation, with both being global crime syndicates.
I mean, HildaBeast even manipulated some of our uranium supplies to Russia. Very SPECTRE-ish

Well, Connery shot down a helicopter with a .25.  (I know the rifle is generally in .22 but Q said it was a .25 in the movie).

the 9mm has advanced a lot in the last several years, with that and shot placement its just proof 40 is obsolete!

I thought this thread was going to be able plastic fuel cans, or rifle optics

I like all the Daniel Craig 007 movies, but I think they have been getting worse one by one.

Spectre was the worst of the four.  The action scenes were lacking and the female lead and love story between them wasn't believable.(especially when compared to Casino Royale's love story and female lead).

I'm still hoping Daniel Craig returns as Bond.  Just hope Sam Mendes stays far away from the next one.(which it sounds like he is).

Bring back Martin Campbell!

Yeah, but that helicopter was a lot closer, and a lot flimsier, and Connery wasn't in a boat.

From Russia, With Love as I recall.

I think I counted 3 times he pulled his pistol and then charged it.  So, he was carrying with an empty chamber and one less round than he could.  He didn't do that in the other movies.  Hollywood drama at the expense of realism.
