And went out and bought new ones. I decided I didn't really like what I had my money in and decided to go practical instead of fancy. Still kept my j-frame as my wife likes it for carry.
For hunting, I now have a Winchester SXP Pump waterfowl gun in Mossy Oak Shadow Grass and a Ruger GSR Scout w/ scope. I hope to add a .22 in the near future. For Self/home defense, a Glock 23 Gen 4 in OD, a Kel Tec Sub 2000 in .40, and an AR I built (fail zero upper and bolt w/ DD M4 14.5 barrel and AAC blackout mount, East Coast Guns (LMT) lower I built with MOE furniture and an ALG trigger (I do like the SSA I had but wanted to put the money elsewhere) and I will top it with an EoTech when funds allow. I hope to add a P3at to this down the road. Flame on... |

I never understood the "don't ever sell a gun" train of thought.

You shouldn't have bought new ones. You should have just sold them all or done like I did and turned them in to the police. The blood is going to be on your hands when your evil new guns run off and kill someone. Oh, that safe in my basement? Yeah, that's just decoration.

Ive actually been scaling back somewhat on doubles and triples been trading them off for stuff i've been wanting or just something different. Its been a good investment though. |

Tell us what you sold, and we'll tell you if you're a dummy or not.

I never understood the "don't ever sell a gun" train of thought. View Quote If you like the gun, don't sell it. You'll regret it later and try to buy it back a few years later for 3 times the price. Even then, if you buy it for way more money, it won't be the same. My dad sold a Chinese AK about 8 years ago for $300ish and bought a Romanian double stack WASR. I don't think he could buy the Chinese AK for $800 today, he loved that gun. |

I sold them all. Going through a rough patch, and it was keep them, or feed my family. I'll be damned sir, if I join the FSA.

Ive been doing something similar lately, selling off a lot of guns to try and standardize a few and make my primarily used guns the best quality there is.
No shame in that. |

Me either, they are just stuff. You might have a family heirloom in there which takes it up a notch. I don't mind dumping my mediocre stuff in favor of acquiring better items for my collection. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I don't mind dumping my mediocre stuff in favor of acquiring better items for my collection. Ditto! My parents came here from Ireland so my only heirloom was a potato peeler and a six-pack ring. If I get something I don't like or turns out to be a turd I recycle it to get what I want. |

Gen4 Glocks are awesome.
Sounds like you got some nice toys. The ALG ACT triggers are really nice for the money. In fact, I think it's one of the best triggers you can buy at its price point. Congrats on your acquisitions. |
