Exactly what the hell did she do to earn such notoriety.
In terms of celebrity status she is practically a nobody and nothing when compared to Sophia Loren. Eight women carried the Olympic flag: Italian actress Sophia Loren, Chilean writer Isabel Allende, American actress Susan Sarandon, Nobel Peace-prize winner Wangari Maathai of Kenya, and three Olympic medal winners. They were Nawal El Moutawakel of Morocco, Manuela Di Centa of Italy, and Maria Mutola of Mozambique. The eighth was Cambodian human rights activist Somaly Mam. I can see an Italian celebrity like Loren as Italy is the host country. But how the hell did Sarandon get a spot. She is a second rate nobody and an embarrassment to her country. |
What exactly does an "activist" do, anyway?
Hey, stop doing that non-human rights thing! OK, sorry lady. Well, I didn't want to get your Mum involved, young man. OK, she's gone, get the battery cables out! G |
Isn't Isabel Allende the daughter of that communist leader of Chile in the 1970s that the CIA overthrew? |
Wouldn't surprise me. |
Different person. Isabel Allende Bussi is the daughter of that guy not her. |
That being generous. She is cunt bag libtard idiot. Did I leave anything out? Oh, yes skank too. |
And the part I highlighted in blue above is exactly why she was there. They won't stop, ever, until we kick their ass. |
Someone on the USOC hoped she would catch herself on fire with the torch?
Screw you too! RHPS is probably the best movie she's ever been in. The fact she has distanced herself from it makes watching it even more enjoyable, like "Barbarella" & Hanoi Jane. |
Three words for ya....
NEW....WORLD......ORDER. And one final word: CONNECTIONS. |
From our country it should have been one of our many war hero's, but ofcourse that would have been to un PC for the olympics
You forgot "rapidly aging shitbag", but you got it right otherwise. |
IMHO...It should ONLY be past Olympic medal winners who carry the torch. |
Well, in the spirit of shitting on Sarandon, here's my addition:
She sucks dick for cheeseburgers. |
The only two people I've heard of in that list are Sophia Loren and Susan Sarandon. Maybe we should ask why the others got to carry the flag.
Well three were actually Olympic medal winners. |
There are a lot more than three Olympic medal winners out there. |

Don't get me wrong...I agree. I was simply pointing out that at least those three deserved to be there. And if Sophia Loren is as "big deal" in Italy as I imagine she probably is, then she probably earns her spot. So that leaves 4 questionables. Oh well, I guess we're lucky Oprah didn't get chosen. |

+1 - That any non-athlete is carrying/doing ANYTHING at the Olympics other than spectating is PROOF that it is not an athletic competition. More proof is all the "sports" where aestetic judging is used. Even ski jumping - What part of jumping the farthest needs judges to score it? You just have to jump the longest distance and not fall down at the end. Points for how you look doing it is ridiculous. Figure skating, almost any X "sport", ... If they judge aestetics, we might as well have beauty contests. Drinking contests would be more valid than half these events. |

Reward for years of left-wing/socialist services to the world.

i actually heard on a prominent nationally syndicated radio show that she is a signee on some kind of "communism" movement here in the U.S. and all around the world. along with a huge number of celebrity and a few POLITICAL names on that list. if someone would care to elaborate further then go ahead or even correct me if i'm wrong. but i distinctly remember her name being mentioned.

Maoists for "Peace" Not In Our Name (NION) project – a self-described "peace" movement that has produced, most notably, two documents publicly denouncing our country’s post-9/11 policies, both foreign and domestic. These documents have received a groundswell of support from many prominent artists, academicians, and activists. Among the tens of thousands to publicly endorse NION’s objectives are Ed Asner, Oliver Stone, Ossie Davis, Danny Glover, Susan Sarandon, Alice Walker, Ramsey Clark, Tom Hayden, Al Sharpton, Martin Luther King III, Gloria Steinem, Medea Benjamin, Leslie Cagan, and Noam Chomsky. The NION project was initiated by a man named C. Clark Kissinger, a longtime Maoist activist. Currently a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party and a contributing writer for the socialist publication Revolutionary Worker, Kissinger began his public activism in the early 1960s when he was the national secretary of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), founded by Tom Hayden. The leading radical organization of its day, SDS later split into several groups, among which was the militant, revolutionary Weathermen. |

yeah the Revolutionary Communist Party. that's right, i remember now. i was listening to the radio and this lady from that Party was on and this guy was just ripping her apart. she never had a reply for hardly any of his challenges. it was great. all she'd say was "we don't like the foreign policy of this administration" or whatever. she was just some dumb bitch that listened to one too many college professor dumb fucks. it was classic. but anyway, yeah susan surandon sucks....along with everyone else in that list-and sean penn too. jake |

Someone told her that it was going to be the US flag and that they were gonna torch it.
Ever notice that most(if not all) of these Commie members have jobs that give them lots of time to think up Commie BS? Now,if they had a REAL job, that required work, and paying bills, they just might not have the luxury of protesting, and thinking up stupid shit(especially stupid shit that requires spending more of my hard earned $$$ in the form of more taxes!)
Allende is/was the niece of the ovethrown Chilean leftist Salvador Allende
Or...even more interesting...(correct me if I am wrong...and I know it may not be QUITE as simple as I am putting it)...But, wouldnt communism mean that these famous peoples "wealth" be spread among the people. |
