Two years ago some guy came into my shop wearing a black chest pouch / rig with molle that looked exactly like a professional operator kit chest rig (anyone remember those from a decade ago). I said something about it. I thought the company folded. He looked at me like I was crazy. I guess it was some chinese knock off that he stored art supplies and pens and pencils in. They didnt know what molle was or why the inside was the way it was. Now it seems every other guy is wearing some type of pouch or small bag. I'm in a super lefty area. Maybe some have a gat in it but I dont think so. Some guy I barely know approached me about sponsoring him to join a gun club. He had no idea I was a shooter. My plumber told him. He just got his carry permit and now he's now wearing a clearly gun fanny pack, knife clipped to his pocket, a contractor hat, 550 wristband, and he's doing some weird scanning / chest puffed out walk. Secondary question what is forward observation group is this another bs lifestyle brand? |

I keep a cross-body rig in my car. We take it hiking and I have it on me at fairs and such. Minimal first aid kit (for non-trauma shit), latex gloves, some tape, extra flashlight, deck of cards, couple bucks, etc. It's great for carrying extra stuff, especially water bottles, and it's comfortable. By no means do I wear this thing into stores or even as a routine. |

Apparently, they're fashionable. The guy with a broccoli top, t-shirt, PT shorts, and crocs is likely carrying his phone, ear buds, charger, keys, wallet, etc. The pudgy middle-aged guy dressed for an interview with Blackwater probably has a gun and expired first aid supplies

I typically only use one when I fly, since you need to repeatedly show ID, passport, empty pockets, etc, so in that respect it simplifies things. And if I'm traveling I usually have a few extra things, so also handy there. Why a sling bag or fanny pack is gayer than a backpack, I'm not really sure, you'll have to have one of these fanny pack haters pull the dick out of their mouth long enough to tell you. |

I wear athletic shorts a lot in summer (kind of a heat cas) and their pockets suck for anything other than a clipped in knife or flashlight. I love this thing- wallet and SAK in front, gun and reload in the main pocket. I guess I'll just have to deal with all the manlets' hate. ?? I use mine maybe 5% of the time for day to day stuff- usually if I'm going to be "out" all day doing things. I use it 100% of the time when I travel though, it's awesome and super convenient. The gay comments about a bag are...interesting. |
