Almost as bad as "The Substitute 2" (which Tom Berringer had the brains to avoid). Probably Berringers worst movie ever. Had that black guy from "Dead Presidents" (which was actually a good movie).

While the first movie was good, this one really blew. The standard unlimited continuous feed magazines, weak plot lines and typical bad guys. Tried to do a "Clancy style" plot line and didn't even come close. Once again the bad guys are engaged in ethnic cleansing against those poor muslims.

And finally Berringer in a parody of himself running around spouting off cliched lines.

Glad it was someone else getting sucked into a shitty show, After 20 hours of Taken and 4 hours of Apocalypse Now Redux I am so due to miss a suck ass cable feature. Thanks SteyerAUG for taking that bullet for me. David

I accidently watched that late last night. It said it was from 2002. Funny, somehow I missed that one at the theatre.

I was a little confused. When he shot that other sniper, it happened so fast that it almost looked like he shot him through the scope. I'm pretty sure he used that trick up in the original. Is that what happened this time too?

What's IIRC?

yep, recycled the shooting the guy through the scope bit from the first one. I think that was also in saving private ryan IIRC (If I recall correctly)

I didn't even know there was going to be a Sniper 2. I guess ignorance really is bliss.

Re: shooting the other sniper through his scope is now pretty standard stuff in any sniper movie, I guess. Never mind it's only happened once we know of.

Kinda' like all the showdowns in Western movies. Happened once in real life (Okay Corral), but must have in every Western.

I'm also annoyed at the "expendable" theme prevailent in every sniper movie. They are always being "sold out", I guess because expert markman snipers are a dime a dozen. [rolleyes]

Looks to me like Crowe and Beringer went to the same "How to imitate a 2x4" acting seminar.

I've seen better acting in porn than these two clods. And I mean hotel porn.

I made the mistake of trying to watch the turkey. Knew I was in trouble when I started surfing other channels a few minutes in.

I finally gave up when he picked up the mil-surp rifle and started babbling about how this was a Mauser and the best rifle the Germans ever made... problem was it was a Mosin-Nagant.

Hey, I know it's a movie but I expect them to at least TRY.

I hate Berenger, and any movie he's in. I'm sure the reason he didn't grace Sniper 2 had nothing to do with his acumen at picking quality scripts.

I liked the idea of the sniper using a Mauser which they stated it was but everytime they showed a close up of Berringer and the bolt, I kept seeing what looked like a Naghant bolt. If this really was Bosnia wouldn't an M48 be the most likely?

Any body, know what that rifle really was? or were they just switching them out.

You got to hand it to the Budget cutting they do on B Movies. It was late the other night and on one the HBO or some other channells they aired "US Rangers" It had a million scenes that they just cut and pasted fron " Navy Seals " with Charlie Sheen. Then the other movie, that I forgot the name that uses a crap load of terminator 2 scenes.

And...when did he sight it in? She found a scope for him....

And the first sniper rifle they used? He trusted it was properly zeroed?

Ariel -- I GOT THAT MOVIE ON DVD FOR XMAS, it is HORRIBLE.
its actually called "Rangers", with corbin bernsen, "i look like i was caught in the headlights like a deer" matt mc coy, and glenn plummer from the movie "showgirls"

i like how the rangers are doing HALO jumps, beach insertion, hostage retrievals, and getting picked up by a US navy chopper (pasted from the Sheen movie "navy seals")

the schwarzenegger scenes are from "Red Heat", its the bus chase, not from T-2. if you watch carefully when the ranger guy punches through the windshield (yeah right) the arm sticking out is wear a blue/green suit coat and white shirt sleeve (what arnold wore in the movie) and not the camo sleeve that the ranger guy wore.
i like the scene wear the muslim rebels stormed the beach (allegedly florida, but all city scenes are LA) they use US military equipment, and then theres the white guy in the beret, hanging with muslim terrorist and has read waaaay too much of the old SOF mags, and has some 9mm submachine gun with endless ammo.

at least the chick was hott, too bad she didnt get nekked.

There is a Hollywood Screenwriter's Union rule that any movie containing a sniper must also contain a scene where he shoots another sniper through his scope into the eye. Or so it would seem. [:D]

How did they explain the fact they cut off Tom's trigger finger in the first one?
Did it get reattached? Did he grow a new one? Did he shoot left handed?
I really thought the first movie was awful. I cannot imagine how bad the second one is.
