Anybody know anything about the smaller guys popping up that use existing towers?  I think Boost Mobile uses Sprint towers, how about Verizon?

People with Verizon get outstanding reception at work, while Sprint doesn't give me donkey shit.  I'd like to switch, but I left Verizon for a reason, don't really want to deal with their shit again.

I have a Galaxy S4 I'd like to keep, but I'm just looking for info on how this stuff works.

Thanks

What you want is a MVNO.  Page Plus is one, there are others

Pretty sure a sprint phone won't work on a verizon network. But things may have changed.

We are on Net10 using AT&T towers. The service has been great. The only thing I have noticed any different is a lower bill and no more spam at&t emails.

This.  The cell phone my 7yr old has for emergency use is PagePlus at $30/yr, also picked up a phone for my father for the same.

Edit : Actually just ordered a new PP phone yesterday on ebay for longer battery life on the phone my dad has - was $22.

IIRC Straight Talk uses some phones with Verizon towers.

Page Plus uses Verizon's network.  Since you have your own phone, just go to the Page Plus website and activate it.

I activated an old Verizon phone for one of my kids on a new Page Plus account.  Simple process.  And it worked everywhere my Verizon phone worked.
