I think Divine Intervention is my favorite album.

Seasons in the Abyss is probably second.

Reign in Blood is just alright.

I was around during the mid to late 80s when Slayer was popular.  I would have to say South of Heaven, followed by Reign in Blood.  They faded from my turntable after Seasons in the Abyss.

Saw them live in a small venue around 1991 I think.  Angel of Death was cool.  They hit the strobes when Lombardo does the double bass roll.

I love metal, and I want to like Slayer...just could never get into them much though, never really could hold my attention.

best metal band of all time.  Just saw them two weeks ago for the 10th time at Heavy TO and they tore it up as usual.

Disciple FTW!

You know they're still pretty damn popular right?

They sure weren't appearing to play live on late night television like they are now, back in the 80s.
Anyways, I like them. They've put out some great material, and some not so great...

One thing I can say for Slayer is they've released better shit lately than Metallica has.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!  Killing Fields, Sex Murder Art, 213...  Divine Intervention is great, and for the record  NO Slayer album "Sucks"

I actually think Divine Intervention is one of their better albums.  It's probably "God hates us all - Reign in Blood - Divine Intervention - Seasons in the Abyss - South of heaven" in my top 5 favorites.

I saw Slayer in the Divine intervention tour, and I think they were at the top of their game.  This was the first Slayer album after all the rest of the thrash bands went ghey.  This is the point where they established total dominance over metal.

It's Reign In Blood and Undisputed Attitude for my favorites.  The Minor Threat covers are better than the originals.  Otherwise, I have all the Slayer albums and they please me.

Dead Skin Mask is the best song ever!  Slayer!!

Slayer has ruined me for most all music. Most everything else sounds like elevator music now.

Nothing beats the Slayer version of 'Hand of Doom'! Also, look for the 'Seasons in the Abyss' version with the flute intro from the bloodpack cd!

I remember for the longest time, whenever there was a lull between songs at any live performance, somebody in the audience would yell "SLAYER!" (e.g. equesting that a Slayer song be performed) even if it was a jazz quintet.
