| I am restoring a 1979 Ski doo Blizzar4d 7500. I have put new pistons, rings, crank bearings seals, rebuilt carbs. Basically everything in engine new. Now my problem. Only fires on cyl. one when I make a 1/4-3/8 gap between plug wire and plug. When cap is on it does not fire. Make the gap runs killer! I have switched plug wires and cdi box does not make difference. Could it be a short/broke wire between cdi box and pick-up coil or just a bad coil? This is what I am doing in my spare time right now while business is slow. ALL help is greatly appreciated! Thanks Brian |

I know you said it's all new, but it sounds like a cylinder problem more than an electrical. When a Cat pony motor is completely shot I have had to ark both plugs while someone else does the starting. It sucks, but I would tear the cylinder back down and check it. |
