Do you own a house and if your in the 30k-40k income range, How do you manage to get by?
I'm in that income bracket and looking to make a purchase someday...... I aint got no 20% to put down on one either. |

Save your pennies, buy generic brands, don't smoke, have a used car, and buy a CHEAP house to fix up. Like HUD repo's.
Many times you can get zero down deals, but in the end you'll end up paying more in PMI, but hey, it's better than renting. You don't get your money back from renting an apt. ETA: In before the arfcom response "Make more money"

Nothing like being stuck in a 30yr mortgage when the value of your house drops 50% in 5yrs. Things might go great for you... but things might go like they went for Motown Steve, too. |

| buy the house and get room mates... theres a ton of good people that you know that rent and would prob make good room mates if you cut em a deal on rent. best times of my life were living in a farmhouse out in the country wit h some of my buds. 3 single dudes in a house + invite every 22 yr old chick you meet at the bar back to drink = many late night VERY informal wet t-shit contests...just make sure your sister doesnt stop by when your not there like what happened to me......." WTF, my sister did what ????? " ...LOL..one of those dip shits married her now whos laughin.. |
