Does anyone here use a Simplisafe System?

I have been looking at their systems and they look good, and also easy to add to and change.

Looking for a little feedback about experiences with Simplisafe.

Thanks

Did you have any issues with the system or monitoring?

Do you recommend it?

Gets good reviews on amazon , just checking here for opinions.

I also have one (5 months) never had an issue yet. No false alarms etc. it's a great price and does it's job.

I had one issue, once about 3 months ago the base station lost it's connection.  They called me after a period of time passed without it "checking in" and walked me through resetting it.  No problems since then.

I highly recommend it.  Easy setup, super configurable with add on sensors for water, fire and Co2, no drilling, and no real way short of a cell phone jammer that it can be defeated.  Can also be controlled with a smart phone if you opt for one of the higher cost monitoring plans.  So far I've just used the base $14.95 plan and love it.

I really can't think of a single negative thing to say about it, everyone should have one.

I've had one for 2 years in my house, it's been GREAT. I have it on the highest monitoring plan so I have silent alarms for the gun room etc.

Bought another one for the shop last month.

Will it be able to monitor a stand alone garage next to the house?

If you have shitty T-Mobile coverage you can switch it over to Verizon. They will send you a sim card I believe.

I have one and really like it, easy to install and setup.  OP check out their webpage and look at the refurbished packages.

Can you get it that it isn't monitored by them? Just to your smartphone?

No, if you want the smartphone features you have to pay for the monitoring package.

Not sure if you're saying this makes the system good or bad.

GD's favorite Glenn Beck shills for them.

ETA- as RIP-Yataski already pointed out.

I have it and like it. I recommend the extra loud siren though. The one it comes with isn't very loud.
