I hate people who can't stay in their lane. Damn lady in a Honda SUV comes over in my lane and bumps against me and i hammer down on horn. She gets back over. Does she pull over? No. I follow her and eventually get beside her and point for her to pull over. She doesn't and keeps going. Young asian woman.
Wife was following me home in her truck. She pulled up beside me and told me no serious damage. Maybe a little scrape. So at that point I give up the chase and come home. Got pics of license plate etc. but no real damage. My truck is no longer cherry and has dings. I wouldn't have been upset if she would have pulled over. I would have told her to forget about it and be more careful. It just pisses me off that people just won't do the right thing anymore. |

At least it wasn't a semi. I was in the middle lane at a red light when a semi making a right turn swung too far and annihilated the bed of the truck. Had to chase him down too, but at least he stopped. Had that same trucked backed into by the daughter of the asian family that lives across the street from my parents. She also backed into my brothers car... |

dunno about TX but here if you follow them then stop and then call... they will take a report but will do nothing about it being a hit and run since you both left the scene...
i got side swiped a few months ago... guy wouldnt pull over and gave me the finger and such... i followed him for about 80 miles while i was on the phone with the police... asshole finally called the cops himself saying that he was being followed and was running out of gas.... the cops told me this and i advised them to get their quickly and pull us both over because if i got to him first i would gladly face a judge for what was about to happen ...
cop cited him for hit and run, no licence, no insurance then let him drive away....
the cop was real cool and was really happy that i had not lost my shit... my truck had the other dirtbags paint on it and that was it... i told him to toss the hit and run because i wasnt going to waste a days pay to sit in court only to get pissed off when the judge tossed the case for lack of damage.. cop agreed and told me that the no licence and no insurance ticket that he had written would never be paid because they had no way to prove that the name they wrote down even existed... whole thing was a friggin joke... following the rules gets you nowhere... |

ETA: I just reported a hit and run too. Car was parked in the street.
