Max, the awesome German Shepherd who has had such a hard, abusive life during his first 18 months, has been claimed and will go to live his best life in Missouri with @motoguy ! @ImperfectlyPerfect3 UPDATE: Route is covered and we roll on Sunday morning early! Thank you so much, Arfcom, for making SemperFi Dog Rescue a possibility. The schedule is as follows: Sunday Morning: Jordan hands off Max to Spuddicus in North Georgia Leg 1: Spuddicus and Max drive to Chattanooga to meet Deltaelite777 Leg 2: Deltaelite777 will drive north to the Manchester, TN area to meet Kcobean Leg 3: Max will overnight with Kcobean! Monday Morning: Leg 3 continued: Kcobean will meet F15mech in the Nashville/Smyrna area Leg 4: F15Mech and Max will travel to Paducah, KY area to meet Betio Leg 5: Betio will drive part way to Lake of the Ozarks, to meet Max's new dad, Motoguy ! Monday evening, Max will begin living his best life, thanks to the best forum on the web. We're in central MO, Lake of the Ozarks area. The route from Chattanooga to here forks at Paducah. From there we could go north through St Louis, south through Memphis, or whatever that middle route is. Either Memphis or Paducah is about a 5.5 hour drive for us. If anyone wants to be awesome and help get him closer, that would be great! Attached File |

I can get him through TN from Chattanooga to KY, and if I need to hold him for a day or two to line up the handoff in KY, I can do that too. When is this happening? @Kcobean as soon as we can get the relays set up at a time people can do it. The sooner the better. We actually have another dog that needs a ride next week, so would love to get Max to his new home before that. |

ETA: I'm in the Bowling Green area, but our long-distance cars are both in the shop and all I have is my work truck, which is not suitable. Bad timing on the repairs. It takes me 2.5-3 hours to Paducah from here. Minimum. And I am not slow. |

I know it's in a little bitty town in Missouri, across the river from Dyersburg, TN. I think it would be a straighter shot through Dyersburg than Paducah, cuz you don't have to go south again. Thoughts? |

BRAINSTORMING: So we could theoretically do the following: Spuddicus picks up from Jordan, brings to Chattanooga Deltaelite777 Can do Chattanooga to Manchester to meet Kcobean (who could hold dog overnight or longer if necessary for scheduling) OR could go all way to Nashville F15Mech can go Nashville to Paducah, KY Betio is not far from Paducah--in Sikeston, MO, and could take Max on into Missouri So we need the following: 1-How far can Betio go, and how far can Motoguy go to meet. Do we need a ride in between? 2-Y'all each tell me when you can roll and when you cannot. We will build the schedule that way once we have the route set. @Spuddicus @Deltaelite777 @F15mech @Betio @Motoguy |
