I think it is pretty cool. -Addresses are not tied to an individual -Changing addresses is encouraged, and super easy -Open source -Free -Automatic public/private key encryption -Serverless (P2P, kind of like torrents), no central server to store/give up your email to the feds Thoughts? |

Problem with bitmessage is the "poison the well" vulnerability. The .gov can introduce contraband into the hive -- espec in "chans" --- resulting in the entire hive hosting, for example, local copies of child porn or pressure cooker plans or whatever. Then the gov goes a sweeping. Espec with chans, where all users, subscribers ot the chans are not wind up with keys to chan content this issue would keep me from using the service, and the developers don't seem to want to address the problem based on the posts on the bitmessage forum. |
