Does the SAF send you a membership card or anything at all when you join?

I do wish they had a better web site whenever I go there. Especially when it comes to membership/donations. Or even keeping track of memberships.

But considering what they do, it's worth putting up with.

They've been a positive voice in the media. That's why I support them.

Took me 2-3 weeks to get a card, etc.

Good question. I joined 2 weeks ago, they haven't sent so much as an email to confirm

Lifer here. Took a few weeks, but I eventually got a card. Sure made it easy to shut down the donation phone calls. "Ma'am last week I just became a life member. Have a nice day!"

I suspect they are slammed. The NRA has been slow sending me notifications for donations and membership renewals, too.

yep, you get a card (they send new ones every year it seems)... i'm a SAF lifer, ...becoming a lifer is pretty cheap, ...and they send you a nice lifer plaque to hand on the wall ;)

They send you more junk then the NRA.

I'm seriously not kidding either. My life member packet came in a cardboard box. It was kind of neat though that the girl who packed it wrote my name in cursive letters with ink pen and signed her name to it.

I tossed all of it in the trash except for my life certificate (which was nicely framed, BTW) and one or two stickers which I put on my toolbox.

I joined about 3 weeks ago not a peep, same with VCDL and that was a month ago.
