Bush: 274
Kerry: 252

While this is gratifying, I am disturbed at how close this was.

These guys were at opposite ends of the political spectrum. It should not have been this close. Is this evidence of the continuing breakdown of our public indoctrination education system?

Remember that a healthy portion of the Kerry vote is a vote against Bush. Many states elected Republican Senators and Congressmen yet still gave the not to Kerry.

Make no mistake, Bush is not a great candidate, and he's done some legitimately unpopular things. I voted for him, but only because he is the best viable alternative. Some find his actions bad enough to NEVER give him the nod again.
