Where the hell have I been? Kids are watching it now, and somehow, over 4 decades, I missed the fact that the scarecrow carried a roscoe. I can't tell, but it looks like a nickel plated .38 Colt Police Positive.

It will inevitably be airbrushed out and replaced with a walky talkie ala E.T. You know, for the chilrens.

Man I saw that when I was a kid. You all need to pay better attention to movies. Old people.

I saw it once or twice as a little kid, but I didn't remember more than the basic plot.
Saw it again about ten years ago, and when I saw that the Scarecrow was packing, I about laughed my ass off. |

Despite having seen that numerous times as a kid I have no memory of the Scarecrow having a revolver (or any other weapon) much less pulling it out and pointing it around.

I had the VHS tape as a kid. Watched it a million times as we had no cable in the boonies. I clearly remember the gun, but I also remember it being a very cheesy prop gun made out of solid metal with no holes in the cylinder.

Subtle gun control message even back then. Implies that a coward would need to carry a gun.

As someone said, it's an ostrich escaped from a different movie filming at the studio. The old wives tale was it was a suicidal midget. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/f8/14/b6/f814b6c67051dfed6e04d891c233e81a.jpg https://i.ytimg.com/vi/rQECeV5nwzA/hqdefault.jpg View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
