Cool details there. You certainly don't get that from a Revel model kit. Have you seen their Ju290, Fw 200C5, He 162A2, Ju 88A1, He177 and B&V222? Obviously not.
The new Revell kits ( RoG ) are not inferior to anything Tamiya or Hasegawa produces, in a few ways they are even better. |

25 years ago, I was active in IPMS. I built a lot of 1/72 and 1/76 scale armor on contract for gamers, and cars, planes and space (real and sci-fi) for myself. I went to all sorts of local and regional contests and shows. I just found out that the local IPMS chapter has their monthly meetings about 4 blocks from my house, so I think I'm going to start trying to make the meetings. I have scores of unbuilt kits that I've collected over the years, and would like to start building again. I love scale model topics on ARFcom! |
| The water is a clear casting resin, similar to fiberglass resin, but made for the modeling community. The bridge is made from dry-wall mud, hand formed and carved. The trees are hand made by wrapping wire and covering and painting . Some grasses are dried products from Michael's , some are real. The tree roots are real roots out of the yard. The cattails are wire stalks dipped in superglue to form the tops and then painted. The hardest part for him is the details in the figures faces as they are SO SMALL . |
