He's got kitty leukemia - I read they get it from fighting with other kittys all the time. When the vet opens at 8:30, he'll get his final shot.

I've posted his picture before and somebody here said he looks like Bill Clinton.

In that case could you take Bill in instead? as a cat with leukemia is worth more than his sorry self.

Isn't there anything they can do? There was a guy on here a couple of years ago that was selling a scope to pay for a cat called "Fluffy" feline lukemia treatments. I don't really remember how that cat turned out. Does anyone remember the story of Fluffy? I hate to see a good cat go without trying something. Sorry Dude.

Poor little cat. I get so attached to pets, especially if kept inside. Having to do what you are about to do would crush me. All I can say is that I hope there is a heaven for animals too. Sorry to hear about the kitty, that just sux.

That's a bummer!

I know I'm gonna have a tough time when it's my cats time.

Does anyone know if you can get the vet to come to your house to have a pet put down?

I hate to think about the last moments of my pets life being all stressed out from riding to a strange place.

I'm not a cat person, but I know the pain of putting a pet down. I bawled buckeys when I took my dog that I had for 17 years in. In a way it is more difficult to put a pet down than a natural or traumatic death because you do something to cause it.

Sorry you need to do it.

We are losing one of our three on Friday...She's 19yrs old and has had a good run. Blind, deaf, throwing up food...I hate to do it but I won't let her suffer either.

Sorry to hear about you having to do this, BigT.

I'm sorry to hear that. Pets are literally a part of the family. I just couldn't take our family dog for the final ride to vet when we found out how sick she was.

Wow, he does look like Bill Clinton.

I'm sorry to hear you had to have him put down, but it's definitely the right thing to do.  When I was a kid (right before they started vaccinating them for feline leukemia), we had one die from that (or whatever infections he picked up).  It is not pretty to see an active, playful cat die from pneumonia.

Sorry man, that sucks.

Ladyloathing, who was standing behind me when I opened this post and is a great lover of all things furry and feline wanted me to post how sorry she was too.

Im sorry to hear about your little friend. I have three cats myself and I know I'll be a snifflin little bitch when anyone of them go. The best thing to do is get yourself another kitty and enjoy that one. Then think back to all the good times you had with your old friend.

I am sorry to hear about your puddy tat.[:(]

I personally wouldn't waste the money on expensive treatments that may not work...I would rather buy my wife, kids or myself a new gun.

He will be in a better place soon.

Damn, dude, sorry to hear that.

We have three of the little furballs. Hard as it would be, I couldn't allow one of them to hurt knowingly. I know it's a hard thing to do.

You have our condolences.
