What a shame. Guess I'll have to watch MIDWAY, TORA TORA TORA, In Harms Way and other good war classics.
Didn't Jerry Brukheimer (sp) direct this? I usually like his movies. |

Pearl Harbor sucks and I'm not going to see it. It represents everything I hate about movies-as-business. Still, it's going to be huge because every middle-aged white guy in America seems to go to WWII movies, and brings along the wife.
So, they make a lame Titanic ripoff with war for the boys and a romance for the girls. Something for everyone! Then pour millions into marketing and release on Memorial Day. How fitting! Add popular country singer with love ballad, just like Celine Dion in Titanic. We did it guys, sure-fire blockbuster guaranteed. |

Besides that wimp Baldwin (who still hasn't made good on his promise to leave the US)
It has that woosy Ben Affleck...anti gun, liberal hollywood boy. I will pass also. |

From what I have seen of the previews it looks as if everything in every scene is wearing make up. It just doesn't look right. My wife wants to go see it, but I wont, I flat refuse to see vets dishonered to make money. Wont even rent the video.

If the roles where reversed, the US would have done the same thing. The US is like a bully in school saying he doesn't know why the nerd shot him. Some people fight back when pushed. |

One thing I noticed four Jap planes were shot down in the commercial and only 7 were shot down in the whole raid. I am still going to see it for the effects. |
