Just got home from an all night dinner. Late birthdate celebration for me. My wife, bro in law, in laws, mom, bro and his gf were all in attendance. We went to a real nice seafood restaurant. My choice
 . We ended up spending over $500 so the owner personally delivered a full bottle of Sambuca and shot glasses to our table with the check. I have never had it before. Hated it at first, but after about the fifth shot it was pretty fuckin good. I refuse to decline a free drink, so needles to,say the bottle was empty when we left. Kind of a goofy, giddy drunk.

If you like black licorice, you'll love Sambuca.
I have a friend who's wife has an "adverse reaction" to Sambuca. She says "One Sambuca, I can feel it, two Sambuca's, anyone can feel it." I try to order her one every time I see her!! |

They just dropped off the bottle, room temp, with a shot glass for everyone. I feel like I am gunna wake up with diabetus
 . Too sweet for my taste, but like I said, we earned it, so we drank it.
By the way, I hate liquorice. Love jäger though. |

not really made for shots. If your drinking it straight then tradition goes THREE espresso beans in the glass. The way I like it is a small shot in my espresso, then after the espresso is done you fill the cup with the sambucca, swirl to get the dried up espresso and sip.
