According to Tony at Tromix, those CDNN days are over. Prices are going to be substancially higher for the new Saigas.

Wo... um,, nevermind.

Still banned by name in the great state of New Jersey. And banned by feature set as well.

Google Image search came up with this

I like mine a lot.

Although i will admit that I wish the bolt was held open automatically after the last round fired so that a new mag could be put in easier.

I also wish someone would make a one piece pistol grip stock so that I didn't have to do the conversion.

There is a wealth of knowledge at your fingertips, my son...

www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=4&f=80

I have 2 Saigas which both work very well. Mags are expensive and rare. Cool factor is very high.

Dont care. Think they blow.
No mags, No bolt hold open and they have that damm stupids AK grip.

I'll pass.

You've lived a very abused life havent you?

The saiga ROCKS!!

saigas are banned in NJ? wow that's taking this to a pretty low level. Didn't think they could go lower than banning M1 carbines, but.....

on a good news front, I just purchaseda tromix saiga 308 hi cap mag, one of first prototypes.

Ugly, and expensive.
Link Posted: 1/11/2006 2:13:03 PM EST
Check out saigacentral.com for some prices. It's better than some of the pre-order prices I've seen.

My dad got a Saiga .410 cheap, and he's killed a truckload of pheasants with it. It has zero recoil, and is reliable like an AK. If I remember correctly it only held five rounds, but you could unload so fast and so smoothly it was almost like one long continuous shot. The first time I shot it I wasn't sure the gun had gone off, if the clay wouldn't have broken I would have thought it was a misfire.

Yes, when it is that ugly and made by commies.

OK here is the deal.

A guy here in AZ is going to be making 10 round mags.

AZEX is doing the conversions.

Bolt hold, i have nothing.
Link Posted: 1/11/2006 2:38:48 PM EST
I take one if i had the money right now, as long as i could get some 8rd mags for it and a 16 inch barrel

18 inches is minimum length for non-NFA shotgun.
