You don't have to modify anything. Place the selector in the position you want and never touch it again.

I'll be blunt. Your a moron. Safeties are not useless features.

Remove pistol grip.
Throw away detent spring. Throw away detent. Throw away safety selector. Install pistol grip. Choke yourself. |

Don't worry about marring the finish as it'll just blend in with the rest of the scratches received from throwing it down the driveway. |

You know disabling or removing the safety selector will make your AR15 fully automatic, right? I wouldn't take the chance of removing it out and creating an already murder death machine of war into a nuclear death machine of war. Because that's how you get it to go from 1 round a second to 87,000,000 rounds a second of tumbling exploding nuclear projectiles.

You have to file down the firing pin and snap the lugs off the bolt face, first.

Duct tape. It's what the pros use. I was thinking JB Weld. (I am neither a lawyer nor a machinist, reader assumes all liability, etc.) |

safety on rifle good safety on pistol bad View Quote I'd never actually thought about it, but it IS kinda weird. I think only one of my pistols has a safety. I carry every day pistols with no safeties. I buy pistols without a safety ON PURPOSE. However on a rifle if you get caught taking a picture of it in your bathtub with the safety off, it sparks a 50 page thread. |

What news agency do you work for? If I were a successful reporter do you think I would be hanging in GD everyday? Still 100x smarter than Chris Cuomo. |

install it in the fire position...after you have ground off the lever on the side with your dremel.

It's the fud mentality that was always beaten into our hard heads. I'm 51 so I took NRA hunter safety courses during PE in grade school and middle school and my father was a big time fud so yeah keep that safety in the on position. Handguns are dangerous and you can't hunt with them |
