ok took my new SKS to the range. loading single load at a time it was flawless and pretty accurrate. fire one shot, slide locks back, insert new round, let bolt go, it fires.  but when i load my than one round at a time, the first shot is fine, but it make a wierd noise near the rear/srping. the trigger doesnt reset, and the next round wont fire. i unload the rounds, recharge the handle, push down the magazine to let the bolt slam forward. pull it back again, insert a round and it will fire. any ideas???

something with the spring? piston? trigger? any advice would be helpful/

Sounds like the hammer is not being held by the disconnector/trigger and it's riding the bolt forward.

You shouldn'y have to touch the magazine to close the bolt.

Does your SKS have a grenade launcher?  If so, make sure the gas tube is open.

not the mag but the bolt stop inside the chamber/mag area to let the bolt go forward, like on the garand

With the grenade launcher sight in the stowed (down position), look for a button/knob near the top of the sight.  It should be canted to the right.  If you raise the granade launcher sight, it will move the gas block to the up position, preventing the cycling you are experiencing.

I would also make sure the fireing pin/bolt is clean of all cosmo. It might be sticky.
