Our 911 center received several frantic calls from the residents of a local apartment building regarding a gas leak and working fires in the ceiling and toilet of the apartment. All occupants were evacuated. Investigation revealed the bathroom ceiling fan caught fire and luckily fell directly into the toilet, just another reason to keep the lid up ladies.

FHTS? ![]() That is totally random. Imagine grunting out a stink pickle only to look up and see a flaming fan come racing down to smash your crotch as you inhale the burnt smell of your singed pubic hair. |

Quoted: who puts a ceiling fan in a bathroom? I'm guessing your shit doesn't stink, your shower puts out no humidity, you've never lived in a house built since the 50's, or you didn't realize by ceiling fan they meant a vent fan in the ceiling, not the big bladed fan in your living or dining room? |

Not the same thing. Unless it was an exhaust fan in the ceiling, and reported as a ceiling fan, since it's still a fan, and by stating it's a fan in the ceiling it explains how it was able to drop into the toilet from the ceiling. But I supposed if one did not take into account that ceiling fan could simply be a misidentified ceiling exaughst fan, and assumed it was a bladed style fan it could be confusing. Perhaps the OP can shed light on the mystery? Or perhaps he should have just said "Bathroom fan" thereby allowing readers to assume that it's a fan in the ceiling since it fell in the toilet (I guess making it a ceiling fan regardless) of the bladed or exhaust type. |
