In my area, I have three options, assuming only land vehicles are permissible:
1) Get out before the rush. 2) Get out with the rush. 3) Get out after the rush. There are too many people here and not enough back roads to be able to dodge them. The correct option, of course, is scenario specific. |

Quoted: It really is the only viable option. On a related note, is that really a Civil Defense sign posted in public view that no one has stolen & sold on eBay yet? Probably not, I just found that picture on the world wide gorenet. The ones we have are slightly different, but same idea. Hmmm. Off to google home made jet pack construction kits. |

Step 1: Live in a location where no evacuation is necessary.
Step 2: If step 1 is a FAIL, then bug out before the crisis. Step 3: If step 2 is a FAIL, then but out with the masses but expect to abandon your vehicle and walk due to massive traffic jams. You will only be able to take what you can haul in a backpack. Or if you think ahead and have a 4 wheeler with extra gas maybe you can get around the traffic jams. Step 4: If you miss the early exodus, wait a few days for things to taper off before heading out. If step 4 is implemented, expect to do a lot of shooting along the way. Step 5: If step 4 is not viable, then sit tight and expect a 28 Days Later scenario at your AO. |
