Shot Fired Into GOP Headquarters
September 2, 2004

BREAKING NEWS: 2 Dozen Bush Supporters Were Inside Huntington Building

A shot was fired at the Republican Party headquarters in Huntington Thursday night, while two dozen supporters of George W. Bush watched him accept his party's nomination on television.

Huntington police said reports came in about 10:30 p.m. from the building on 4th Avenue at 14th Street. One bullet hole could be seen in a large glass window, through a sign that said marriage is between "One Man, One Woman."

Police said they had not found bullet fragments inside the headquarters and had no way of knowing what type of weapon was used.

Eyewitnesses told 13 News they heard a loud bang but weren't sure what had happened. One woman said she found pieces of glass on her neck and shoulders.

Tune in to 13 News Friday morning for more on this story.

Think this type of behavior will increase or decrease if GW wins in November?

This election is dividing the country into the demoncraps and republicans, hope this doesn't translate into a civil war in the near future.

This country has become severely polarized. I blame Klinton. He really brought out the radical left and gave them too much influence on the democratic party. As far as they swing left, the republicans compensate by going right. Compromise goes out the window and our government becomes even less effective than it was before, if that's possible. Shooting holes in republican party HQ windows isn't going to change anything and could have cost someone their life. Those dickheads need to get a grip on reality.

Either that or come out in the open where we can draw a bead on them.

Hey not a bad idea.... Put it on the form 4473.
I'd support that. Afterall they don't believe in gun ownership, so why would they mind.?

This country is becoming really polarized.

You have two parties (or at least candidates) who are each trying to restrict people's natural rights, and then accusing the other side of doing so. I get a kick when I hear Kerry say he'll defend the Constitution... .yeah, except the 2A. I get a kick when I hear Bush say he'll defend the Constitution... yeah, except equal protection under law, searches and seizures, seperation of church and state.. I could go on.

American politics are in a sorry state. Nowadays, both parties think that THEY know what is best for the American public. They are starting to DICTATE policy, rather than it coming from the people. People need to wake up and realize that they can actually make better decisions on how to live their lives than politicians (thats what they say about gun control... if we can take care of ourselves, our need for our politicians to protects us drops). But the public is scared of terrorism, and their families being deployed for a long time, and being a victim of crime, and metereors, and zombies, so they sit back and let others protect them, no matter what the cost.

"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. "

We'll hold them off, but don't forget about us.

I feel like the 101 AB during the Battle of the Bulge.

God where is Patton and Third Army.
