After just hearing a few seconds of Lazar talking about reverse engineering decades ago, I knew he was full crap. I know more about destructive testing of hardened metals than he does and I was a lowly healthcare worker. He is very much like the stolen valor con artists who take advantage of naive people to make money. Making illegal fireworks, bogus knowledge about producing isotopes and pimping says it all. Criminals don't just do one crime. They will do any con or crime for a fast buck. The one guy Rogan had on his show that knew a wide variety of practical facts about science and physics was that nut Alex Jones. Jones has some knowledge about short life research radio pharmaceuticals that only a few people in the industry work with. |

Again, back to a man making claims which, at the time, were not verifiable by other means. This is one of those things I just don't understand what the significance is supposed to be. On 1:250,000 scale map from 1954 of a city 80 miles away they show a very rough shape of the lake and extend the road that is there around the east side of the lake. I look at a map from 1952 that is 1:62,500 scale and it shows the roads similar to the 89 map and current satellite images. Or a 1985 1:100,000 that also show the same thing. At the very least the 85 map shows that the change had nothing to do with Lazar. A rational answer is that the guys doing the Caliente map were lazy with the dirt roads in the bombing range, they saw roads on other maps going to the north and south side of the lake and assumed they connected, but people who did more detailed maps before and after don't show any roads. |
