Normal operating proceedure. Though first since trumps inauguration. When I was active duty they had at least 2 off each coast.

They use to do that all the time. Why trawlers? They can get those cheap ships to work. Not much loss if one disappeared too (though I'm unaware of the USN ever sinking one).

This is nothing new and fox news certainly has no clue what it is, why its there or anything of the sort.

They've been doing this for decades, as have NATO. It must be a really slow news day.

Who cares?
They are on international waters, we do the same shit. Media is trying to drum up bullshit to make the admin look bad. |

What would happen if you got close to them in a center console fishing boat?

This is ALL Trump's fault !
Where's SongBird McStain? He needs to issue a statement denouncing Drumpf straight away !!! |

View Quote I actually had a submarine surface one time about 100 yards or so away from me off Ft Lauderdale. scared the shit out of me. Then I was staring at it and it went down and the water rushed in like it was going to suck my tiny ass boat down with it. |

Maybe see how low an F-35 can fly and buzz the ship a few times.

They're bitching about this on Fox News right now...
'Flynn was making promises to Russia, now we see this Russian spy ship off the coast of Delaware, what is this administration's relationship with Russia? This is very, very troubling!!!' |

Its like suddenly everyone forgot the stuff that went on every day during the Cold War.

In the 60's, my father was on a boomer sub. He said every time they went out from New London, after they were out of Long Island Sound a ways, there was a "fishing boat (with a shitload of antennas and odd-looking gear)" that would follow and watch them off the coast before they submerged. Everyone knew it was Russian, and they were never seen fishing.

Anyone remember the old Rusky spy ships with all the satellite dishes on them. Could never understand why they were allowed in port.

This story shows how close Russia is to Trump making it seem like this is somehow not normal operating procedures for the Russians for the last few decades. |

They used to have one parked off of King's Bay. Every CBG had one trailing them. Not sure what the big deal is. I guess I'm impressed it hasn't sunk, or gone dead in the water. |

Someone let me know when they pass by New Hampshire.
