"Last Day. Capricorn 29's. Year of the City, 2274. Carousel begins." The book features a round-the-world chase, with gypsies that ride rocket-powered "motorcycles" in the Grand Canyon. If someone made a Lord of the Rings-level version it would be awesome! I have the book around here someplace. The Sandman Gun was a revolver that fired specialty rounds. Yes, it would be a good candidate for a remake. |

The book has a lot more sex than the movie. I also liked the TV series, unfortunately it suffered from the liberal times in which it was made. I remember reading that they had to make the sandman guns able to stun people because during that time there was a big push to stop violence in TV shows. My favorite episode of the series is "Man Out of Time." Scientist from before the war travels forward in time and meets Logan and Jessica. |

If you watch this movie and Silent running, you will see where Speilberg got many of his ideas for Star Wars. I've seen Silent running (been a long time) but Spielberg did not make Star Wars. |

"Fish, and plankton. And sea greens, and protein from the sea. It's all here, ready. Fresh as harvest day. Fish and sea greens, plankton and protein from the sea. And then it stopped coming. And they came instead. So I store them here. I'm ready. And you're ready. It's my job. To freeze you. Protein, plankton... "

It used to gather food from the sea to process into food for the inhabitants. When there was no more, it needed other sources, so it took runners. Quoted:
