as a kid we botteled some Home Brewed Root Beer it was good,PITB though.

IBC is the best root beer out there. Besides, the glass bottles add class AND style.

A&W draught is indeed the best there is. Unfortunately it's hard to find a real old school A&W anywhere; the A&W/KFCs don't count.

As a kid I rememeber the A&W in my home town would sell plastic jugs (like a milk jug) filled with root beer straight from the tap and it was absolutely delicious.

there has only been one form of root beer that I didn't like... Henry Weinhards ... or how ever you spell it...

Barq's and A&W are great. IBC root beer is one of those things I classify as "liquid crack"

I'd weigh 400 pounds and have to have an insulin IV if I didn't have *some* willpower.

I usually drink root beer if it's offered where I'm eating. I like all the major brands but would rate A&W as my favorite and Barqs as my least favorite (still like it though!

). Nobody has mentioned Dad's Rootbeer. I think it's nearly as good as A&W.

Tom Wahl's homemade root beer at the Tom Wahl's restraunts in the Rochester, NY area. The 2 Ed's know from whence I speak. For I believe they had had the experience. Served in a frozen mug of course.

I thought Moxie was Moxie...not a Root Beer.

Tastes more like a cola if anything.

I didn't realize that Root Beer has burdock root in it. That stuff is toxic if handled incorrectly.

Reading about all the herbs and flavorings that go into it all I could think of was absinthe. Many of the

same things are used in both.

The only difference being the lack of alchohol and Artemeisia (Woormwood.)
