| I understand how scissors can beat paper, and I get how a rock can beat scissors, but there's no #$%#ing way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody. A rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock paper scissors, I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit Im sorry, I thought paper would protect you, asshole |

| Uncle johns Bathroom reader says it comes from china. A long time ago when a citizen wanted something from the emporer or what ever the top guy was they would right it down and leave on the steps to top's palace. After a certain amount of time the citizen would go back and and if top had placed the rock over the request it had been denied. But if the request was laid on top of the rock then his wish would be granted. |

I love RPS as a means of settling minor disputes, mainly because I've researched its many nuances and discovered its secrets. Things to remember when playing Rock Paper Scissors: Most Men throw Rock as their first pump, women tend to go for Paper. Most people if beaten will throw the position that just beat them. Most people will throw the same two times in a row as a psychological tactic, tossing the position that will beat what they just played is statistically better then even money starting with the third round. ESPECIALLY right after a tie. Against an Average man, Paper-Rock-Rock is the best first three plays because of the confluence of those rules. |
