Brownnosing the feds, when the industry has been in a mess over the pandemic.

Kind of silly to do it publicly, since the public has already been reminded (over the last year and a half) how much of their life does not depend on boarding a plane.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A judge ruled Friday that prosecutors can’t argue that a man who shot three people during a protest against police brutality in Wisconsin is affiliated with the Proud Boys or that he attacked a woman months before the shootings, bolstering his position as he prepares for a politically charged trial.

Kyle Rittenhouse is set to stand trial beginning Nov. 1 on multiple counts, including homicide. The 18-year-old argues he opened fire in self-defense after the men attacked him. Prosecutors say they have infrared video from an FBI surveillance plane that shows Rittenhouse followed and confronted the first man he shot.

Kenosha was in the throes of several nights of chaotic demonstrations after a white police officer shot Jacob Blake, a Black man who was paralyzed from the waist down. Rittenhouse traveled from his home in Antioch, Illinois, about 20 miles (32 kilometers) to Kenosha on Aug. 25, 2020, in response to a call on social media to protect businesses there.

Rittenhouse shot Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz with an AR-style semiautomatic rifle, killing Rosenbaum and Huber and wounding Grosskreutz. Conservatives across the country have rallied around Rittenhouse, raising $2 million to cover his bail. Black Lives Matter supporters have painted him as a trigger-happy racist.

During a hearing Friday on several motions, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger asked to argue at trial that Rittenhouse subscribes to the Proud Boys’ white supremacist philosophies and violent tactics. Binger pointed out that Rittenhouse was seen at a bar with members of the white nationalist group’s Wisconsin chapter in January and traveled to Miami days later to meet the group’s national president.

Binger also asked the judge to allow evidence that Rittenhouse attacked a woman in June 2020 as she was fighting his sister. He also wants to show jurors video from 15 days before the shootings in which Rittenhouse said he would like to shoot some men he thought were shoplifting from a pharmacy.

Binger said Rittenhouse’s affiliation with the Proud Boys, the fight and the video show Rittenhouse’s propensity toward violence. He described Rittenhouse as a “chaos tourist” and “teenage vigilante” who came to Kenosha looking for trouble.

Rittenhouse attorney Corey Chirafisi countered that none of the events are relevant to the shootings. Nothing shows Rittenhouse was connected to the Proud Boys on the night of the protest or that the shootings were racially motivated, Chirafisi said, pointing out that Rittenhouse and the men he shot were white.

Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder agreed with the defense about the June fight and interactions Rittenhouse has had with the Proud Boys. He deferred a decision on the pharmacy video but said he was inclined to exclude it.

It was during discussion about that video that Binger said prosecutors have infrared surveillance footage that he said shows Rittenhouse chasing Rosenbaum, who was the first person Rittenhouse shot.

Rittenhouse attorney Mark Richards maintained it was Rosenbaum who started chasing Rittenhouse, yelling out, “Kill him!” He said Rosenbaum cornered Rittenhouse in front of a row of cars in a parking lot and threw a bag at him before trying to grab Rittenhouse’s gun.

Binger said the surveillance footage shows Rittenhouse chasing Rosenbaum with a fire extinguisher before Rosenbaum turned to confront him. Binger said Rosenbaum was probably trying to push the barrel of Rittenhouse’s rifle away.

After Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum, people in the streets began chasing him. Video from the night of the protests shows Rittenhouse shot Huber after Huber hit him with a skateboard and tried to grab his gun. Grosskreutz then approached Rittenhouse with a gun and Rittenhouse shot him.

Schroeder denied a defense request to argue that Rosenbaum was trying to steal Rittenhouse’s rifle because Rosenbaum was a sex offender and couldn’t legally possess a firearm.

He delayed ruling on defense requests to dismiss a charge that Rittenhouse possessed his gun illegally because he was a minor and to allow testimony from an expert on police use-of-force. He set another hearing for Oct. 5.

In Tense Hearing, Kyle Rittenhouse Defense Convinces Judge to Throw Out Significant Portions of the Goverment’s Case

It was an all-but ugly day in court for the prosecutors hoping to put Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse behind bars on six counts, including murder. During a lengthy evidentiary hearing, the defense scored victory after victory while the government was increasingly frustrated at the judge’s rulings in favor of the defendant.

...

But the government’s increasingly astonished and angry pleadings went nowhere, and the defense was left literally smiling.

These things can happen, when the prosecution makes decisions based more on politics, than on the law or the evidence.

Everyone going to skip over the bit about FBI aircraft surveillance video? I am wondering if the FBI makes a habit of flying over all protests and riots.

The Rittenhouse stuff was good to see.  The judge seems to be pretty good.

I still can't believe he hasn't at the very least dismissed the weapons charge since that is black and white in our statutes, but my guess is he wants to jury to do it.

No jury questionnaires may be a double-edged sword.  Kyle has a decent chance of pulling a good jury pool in Kenosha.

Why would Rittenhouse be chasing Rosenbaum with a fire extinguisher if Rittenhouse had an AR15 and was intent on murdering Rosenbaum?

That doesn't make any sense.  I'm more inclined to believe that the infrared shows Rosenbaum chasing Rittenhouse.

I'm pretty sure that at least some of us knew this when it was happening.  I normally wouldn't have any problem with surveillance aircraft being in the air, but the FBI runs CYA for the bureacracy, DNC, BLM, and Antifa.  They literally get it wrong every single time for reasonz.

I remember Rosenbaum setting the dumpster on fire and Rittenhouse running to put it out with a fire extinguisher.  Prosecutor is trying to paint Rittenhouse as an aggressor, where as Rittenhouse was just reacting to Rosenbaums arson.  Possible why Rosenbaum chased Rittenhouse down later.

If I remember right Kyle had an extinguisher and was trying to put out the dumpster fire. Antifa and BLM were trying to stop him. That is where the bad blood started for the most part.

In Tense Hearing, Kyle Rittenhouse Defense Convinces Judge to Throw Out Significant Portions of the Goverment's Case

It was an all-but ugly day in court for the prosecutors hoping to put Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse behind bars on six counts, including murder. During a lengthy evidentiary hearing, the defense scored victory after victory while the government was increasingly frustrated at the judge's rulings in favor of the defendant.

But the government's increasingly astonished and angry pleadings went nowhere, and the defense was left literally smiling.

This was a fairly big deal at the time but got buried pretty quick - part of the footage accidentally released/leaked a few days after the incident

Yes, they do

Mostly with drones but they use actual airplanes as well

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2021/09/ouch-richard-ebright-15-top-scientists-eviscerate-fauci-daszak-lancet-medical-journal/

The world‘s leading medical journal The Lancet has now published an article explicitly condemning the letter organized by Dr. Anthony Fauci, Peter Daszak of the EcoHealth Alliance, Jeremy Farrar of the Wellcome Trust, and others.

On February 1, 2020, when confronted with first evidence the Covid pandemic may have originated in the Wuhan Lab he funded via Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance, Fauci organized a conference call, apparently to discuss how to suppress this dangerous information, since the trail led straight to them.

On Feb. 19, 2020, Daszak, Farrar and others published a letter in The Lancet, saying that “We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.”

This letter was then used to suppress and censor the Chinese lab leak theory in Mainstream Media and on social media for over a year. There was, and remains, no evidence for the “scientists’” claims.

Now, a new article in The Lancet by Jacques van Helden of Aix-Marseille University in France, Richard Ebright of Rutgers U. and 14 other authors has skewered the Fauci apologists’ unscientific Fake News “which claimed overwhelming support for the hypothesis that the novel coronavirus causing the COVID-19 pandemic originated in wildlife.”

“The authors associated any alternative view with conspiracy theories by stating: “We stand together to strongly condemn conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin”. The statement has imparted a silencing effect on the wider scientific debate, including among science journalists,” Ebright and colleagues charge.

Contrary to the Fake Scientists’ claim, “there is no direct support for the natural origin of SARS-CoV-2, and a laboratory-related accident is plausible. There is so far no scientifically validated evidence that directly supports a natural origin.”

“Neither the host pathway from bats to humans, nor the geographical route from Yunnan (where the viruses most closely related to SARS-CoV-2 have been sampled) to Wuhan (where the pandemic emerged) have been identified. More than 80 000 samples collected from Chinese wildlife sites and animal farms all proved negative”, the researchers write.

In addition, the international research community “has no access to the sites, samples, or raw data” related to the Wuhan Lab and the Covid outbreak, the article attests. Even WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has now declared “that all hypotheses remained on the table, including that of a laboratory leak.”

A lab leak origin of the pandemic is “plausible”, the authors find: “Some unusual features of the SARS-CoV-2 genome sequence suggest that they may have resulted from genetic engineering.”

Ebright and collegaues also skewered Fauci’s stooges for placing “unity” and their political agenda over critical evaluation and science:

“As scientists, we need to evaluate all hypotheses on a rational basis, and to weigh their likelihood based on facts and evidence, devoid of speculation concerning possible political impacts. Contrary to the first letter published in The Lancet … we do not think that scientists should promote “unity” (“We support the call from the Director-General of WHO to promote scientific evidence and unity over misinformation and conjecture”).

As shown above, research-related hypotheses are not misinformation and conjecture. More importantly, science embraces alternative hypotheses, contradictory arguments, verification, refutability, and controversy. Departing from this principle risks establishing dogmas, abandoning the essence of science, and, even worse, paving the way for conspiracy theories. Instead, the scientific community should bring this debate to a place where it belongs: the columns of scientific journals.”

It is hard to imagine how Fauci, Daszak, Farrar and their co-conspirators can remain in their positions after this brutal scientific takedown.

George Soros Funds The Bush-Clinton-Obama Group Pushing For Afghan Migrants

Former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton are serving as Honorary Co-Chairs of an organization to support the welcoming of Afghan migrants into the United States of America following the U.S. defeat to the Taliban and failed evacuation from Afghanistan. The organization, Welcome.us, is funded by socialist billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Foundations.
The Honorary Co-Chairs of Welcome.Us include Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton. The group’s National Welcome Council includes representatives from the New York Times, the Soros-funded Atlantic Council, Obama’s former Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Maria Shriver, establishment pundit David French, and Jeb Bush.

Dissident Soaps
George Soros’ leftist donor organization Open Society Foundations is listed as one of the “Welcome Sponsors,” a “group of funders (that) chose to also enable the launch of Welcome.Us so that, together, we can amplify those efforts and mobilize the American people to support them,” according to Welcome.Us. Other sponsors include Rockefeller Brothers Fund and Walmart.org. The group’s “Welcome Businesses” include Walmart, Facebook, Starbucks, Uber, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, Gibson Dunn and Microsoft.

George Soros is clearly determined to flood the United States of America with immigrants and ensure that the immigrants can afford to stay in the country to spark radical demographic change. For example, Los Angeles Democrat mayor Eric Garcetti is on the Leadership Board of a George Soros-funded global organization called the Mayors Migration Council, which pushes for and promotes Garcetti’s program in which he pays illegal immigrants during Coronavirus. Garcetti is partnering on pro-illegal immigration efforts with Patrick Gaspard, the president of George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, and is also working with Soros’ activism network to develop a program to pay reparations to black people. George Soros is a Hungarian-born leftist billionaire with an agenda to radically remake the United States of America and the world. Eric Garcetti is currently Joe Biden’s nominee to serve as Ambassador to India.

Eric Garcetti is a member of the Mayors Migration Council Leadership Board along with seven other current global mayors and one former mayor. The Mayors Migration Council asks its supporters to “Join Mayors in building an inclusive COVID-19 recovery for all.” So what is the Mayors Migration Council pushing for? According to their own materials, the Council states: “We ask that decision makers at the national and international level join us and take the following actions: Ensure safe, equitable access to services regardless of migration status, including healthcare and economic relief…Empower migrants and refugees to be part of the solution to COVID-19, including through the regularization of immigrant essential workers…Combat misinformation, racism, and xenophobia to strengthen community solidarity in all COVID-19 response and recovery efforts…” The Mayors Migration Council spotlighted Garcetti’s city of Los Angeles in its materials, stating, “City of Los Angeles steps in where national government falls short, provides direct cash assistance to all city residents in need, including undocumented immigrants.”

Mayors Migration Council is “financially supported by the Open Society Foundations”

The Mayors Migration Council stated: “In the City of Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti committed to build an equitable and inclusive COVID-19 response and recovery. Stepping in where the US national government purposefully excluded migrants and their families, Los Angeles provided emergency financial assistance to families in need, regardless of their immigration status. Building a new, innovative direct cash assistance program — the Angeleno Card — the city served residents who fall below the poverty line and do not qualify for other federal aid that excludes undocumented immigrants and informal sector workers. Mayor Garcetti’s Office, and the nonprofit the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles, raised $25M from the private sector, philanthropies, and individuals for the program to distribute directly to residents to meet their basic needs…Critically, applicants’ immigrant status was not requested nor factored towards their eligibility…The program received more than 450,000 applications,187,000 of which were pre-qualified. Given this large need from the community, a lottery was used to choose more than 20,000 households — helping more than 70,000 Angelenos. This innovative, multi-stakeholder program from Los Angeles served a model state-wide and nationally….” (Mayors Migration Council passage ends)

¡Ay, caramba!

Eric Garcetti and Open Society Foundations president Patrick Gaspard are both quoted in a Mayors Migration Council 2020 press release headlined “Mayors From Around The World Call On Global Leaders to Include Migrants 7 Refugees in Pandemic Response.” The press release states (emphasis added): “Members of the MMC Leadership Board, comprised of the mayors of Amman, Bristol, Freetown, Kampala, Los Angeles, Milan, Montréal, São Paolo, and Zürich, and the former mayor of Athens, met virtually on July 16 for its second annual convening. Hosted by Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, the Leadership Board discussed common challenges mayors face in dealing with COVID-19, presented practical solutions to make sure no one is left behind in pandemic relief response, and identified opportunities to build more resilient, equitable, and sustainable cities for all throughout the COVID-19 recovery process….“Migrants and refugees around the world have been on the frontline of the global health crisis — risking their lives to care for patients, deliver food, and do the essential jobs needed to save lives,” said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. “Building more equitable and inclusive cities will create a fairer, more just world, and the Mayors Migration Council is a critical partner in our work to ensure cities are places where everybody belongs.”…This year the Leadership Board was joined in conversation by the MMC’s institutional funders Ambassador Patrick Gaspard, President of the Open Society Foundations; Ambassador Christian Frutiger, Assistant Director General, Head of Global Cooperation for the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation; and Ms. Ottilie Bälz, Senior Vice President, International Understanding and Cooperation at the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Special guests included Mr. António Vitorino, Director General of the International Organization for Migration and Tim Dixon, Co-founder of More in Common….“Mayors and cities on the front lines of the crisis are coming up with innovative solutions and sharing knowledge. We are proud to partner with cities to ensure that all of us – refugees and migrants included – have safe, equitable access to relief during these unprecedented times,” said Ambassador Patrick Gaspard, President of the Open Society Foundations. “The Mayors Migration Council has a key role in supporting these efforts and elevating the voices and actions of mayors around the world.” (press release passage ends)

Previously, Eric Garcetti and Open Society Foundations president Patrick Gaspard both spoke at a December 2018 forum in Morroco co-sponsored by the United Nations called “City Leadership In Implementing the UN Global Compacts,” with Garcetti appearing at the forum via video.

Garcetti is also talking to Open Society Foundations about financing a program to get black reparations off the ground in his city. The Los Angeles Times reported in June 2021: Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti on Friday announced the formation of an advisory commission that would develop and advocate for a pilot reparations program targeted at a cohort of Black Angelenos…In a Friday interview with The Times, Garcetti said many private entities, including Open Society Foundations, a grant network founded by billionaire George Soros, had expressed interest in being involved in funding. ” (Los Angeles Times passage ends)

That doesn't make any sense.  I'm more inclined to believe that the infrared shows Rosenbaum chasing Rittenhouse.

As I recall, Rittenhouse was running toward the fire that Rosenbaum had set with the extinguisher to, well, extinguish the fire.  If Rosenbaum was still in the vicinity of his arson project, then yes, Rittenhouse would have been "running toward Rosenbaum with a fire extinguisher."

I have a problem with it even if the FBI wasn't solidly leftist controlled. The fact that the FBI is monitoring the American people ought to scare everyone but every time something like this comes out folks just shrug.
