Going back to TX to think about how he (and his 10% from Iowa) would like to proceed.

update:  Just skipping NH and headed straight to SC.  Good luck.

update 2:  out

No, he's passing on NH because the Yankee lib-stains will vote for Romney the RINO, and Rick Perry will be winning in South Carolina.  He has already purchased the bulk of his TV and radio spots.

By bowing out early, he is still in play for VP.

I predict we are going to get screwed over by a liberal Rhino who will be worse than Obama. Welcome to communist America people and say goodbye to your freedoms and values.

He had a mountain to climb without those.

How much campaign cash is he walking with???  I'd hazard a guess he isn't giving a dime of it back or setting up a PAC or charity.

The dumbass could still have captured the nomination.

He should have waited out Gingrich, Bachmann, and Hunstman, and hung in for a few more states hoping Santorum flamed out.  That would have positioned him as the default anti-Romney with fund-raising ability and a strong campaign staff.

Six months ago I thought this guy was supposed to be a southern rock star that would run away with the nomination.

At least, that's what I gathered from a boatload of Texans at this site.

He got Gardasiled.

He'll join Gingrich in burning Romney to the ground in SC with what's left of his cash.

Governor Good Hair has always been partial to illegals.  He does well at hiding it usually but not this time.

He's still a pretty good governor and is a solid 2a-supporter, but I never wanted him in the white house.  Glad he scored so low.

He accidentally his entire campaign.  OOPS.

Too bad he's an illegal-coddling liberal Democrat who happened to enjoy the 2A.

I really liked his 2A stance...too bad about him being a high-functioning retard though.

Yeah, but he doesn't have the support. He'd be much better off just to hang on to the money, since no amount of spending can change the opinions people formed about his intelligence during the debates. I don't know what Perry was thinking, but he simply entered into this campaign woefully unprepared. His past political success probably led to overconfidence on his part, and that in turn led to an epic collapse only rivaled by Fred Thompson in 2008. It is sad really. I believe Perry could have been the candidate to knock Obama off his perch if he hadn't blown it by looking like a total idiot. The nomination was his for the taking when he entered the race.

1/4/2012 1:25:22 AM EDT

John McCain only got 13% in Iowa in 2008 and still got the nomination.

If Perry had been perusing the Drudge Report online poll last night, he would be getting himself ready for an all out blitzkrieg.  Perry was winning Drudg's national online poll by a big margin when I checked at 9 o'clock pacific time.

Yep. From a distance he kinda looks/sounds good. Up close, under scrutiny, he's pretty fucked up. I wish he was a better candidate, with better positions. If he is serious about helping the country, he will do anything he can to gang up with others to crush Romney. He has some stroke, we'll see if he acts like a bitch, or acts for the common good.
