I only had to work a half-day today so I was able to catch the 1:00pm showing of Repo Men. I wasn't particularly excited to see this film, but I figured it would be a decent way to kill a few hours. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a better-than-average action film. The buddy relationship between Remy and Jake was much more believable than in similar films. I could actually see a believable path from inseparable to antagonistic. Liev Schrieber was great as the company middle management guy. Also there was a terrific knife/hammer/hacksaw/plastic bag fight towards the end of the film. One of the best hand-to-hand scenes on film in quite a while. This one is worth seeing. |

I've heard mixed reviews about it so I watched it. I thought it was enjoyable enough. I thought the hand to hand fighting was a bit over the top, but the ending made it understandable, and I really liked the ending. Maybe better than the movie itself I really liked the soundtrack it had. |
