I think that was the point. I remember DPMS making tons of different AR types, then the market exploded after the ban sunset and they just kind of took a back seat.

No, just a bull barrel with full length hand guard and an M203 hand grip on there.

Edit: here is another look at it.

Would be interesting to cut the end off, and make a Lewis style air cooling setup.

That would be cool,  the way it is,  not so much.  No keymod,  why bother.

A Bull Barrel in a full length shroud?

They should sharpen the muzzle so this iron bar pig can be used to pry things open.

Pretty sure it was just a heavy barrel, not a bull barrel. It still wasn't light though.

All of the ones I saw had a knurled free float tube and not the M203 grip.

I remember handling one on the consignment rack at a LGS. Ugly as Jack and Kelly Osbourne screwing. About as awkward feeling as well.

It's still stupidly heavy.

Full length barrel covers on long barrels are for 3-gun style running and gunning.
Who uses a H-B or Bull barrel for that?

It was made to be a toy. I highly doubt any serious use was even considered when it was made.  Just that it looked different.

You're over thinking it.  Most people will drag it out a few times to punch paper.  How much running and gunning do most gun owners do?

Besides, it was DPMS.

You're right, it's just a DPMS.   It's a rifle version of a Brodozer for the showing off to other low information friends at the range.

I always over think things.
