How are you dealing with the primer crimp on military brass?

I have the swager kit from RCBS but I tried the RCBS chamfering tool used to clean up case mouths after trimming.  You guys know what I'm talking about, one end for the ID and the other for the ID.  the ID side does a clean and quick job with a few twists or a quick shot in a cordless drill..  Works just fine for me..

How 'bout you?

Me, too.

Edit to add:  if you're just reloading 50-100 rounds for target / shooting groups, the hand tools is just fine.

Especially if you are dealing with lots of brass.

I gave up on removing primer crimps.  I just buy commercial 1x brass from wideners when it's cheap and available.  I have the RCBS tool as well, I have tried the Dillon super swage, both just make you handle the brass so much, and it already takes forever (I know, I'm a pussy).

When loading in bulk swaging/reaming sucks.  I'll save the 4k I have for when I man up and buy a Dillon 1050.

Chamfer bit from harbor freight, hand drill, faster than super swager and cheaper.

I used the Lee and other chamfer bits in the past and didn't get the uniformity I liked.

Well that and I got the swager at 75% off at a clearance sale

I use the Lyman Primer Pocket Reamer hand tool.  It sucks, takes a lot of time and wears out the hand.  I've use my deburring tool and i seemed to work fine for .556mm but mnt for .30 cal.

I use the RCBS swaging die.  I decrimped about 100 WCC 9mm last night, it worked fine.

Dillon Super Swage here also. That thing is the cats ass.
Been thinking of getting a Super 1050 as the pocket swager is one of the stations.
I just got my Type6 FFL (ammo manufacturing) and am trying to streamline my operation.

I just finished up 1,000 rounds with this tool. I bought some Winchester brass online, and all of it had Winchester headstamp and crimp. I did small batches over a few weeks, and it worked fine.

The super swager would have been easier, but would have cost me more money. (I already had the RCBS)

I made a decrimping tool (basically a countersink with a depth limiter) and I chuck it up in my mini-lathe when I'm reloading military brass.   When I run across one with a tight pocket, I turn on the lathe and apply the case to the tool for a couple seconds.

I also have the RCBS swager but it can take several violent smacks to get the crimp ironed out.

Same here.

Buddy has a case prep center from RCBS that works nice. I'm thinking about picking one up, claims they have a de-crimper gizmo for that.

I've been using the RCBS swager. Slow, but it works, and I usually figure on spending the day reloading if I start anyway.

Started with RCBS swager and 4k brass.
It worked but was just too slow to suit me.
So I invested in a Dillon Super Swage.
It's what you need for large quantites.

Toss the handle away and put the cutting head in a cordless drill and go for it.  Works great for me on 5.56, 7.62 NATO, and 30-06 brass.
