Maybe the NHL should hire someone to keep an eye on the Flyers--since they have such a sudden knack for boarding and intent to injure.  I'm getting tired of seeing unconscious Bruins sprawled on the ice after being blindsided.

That same line was used by an NFL referee several years ago, along with moving his arms to make it look like he was holding someone in a head lock and punching. Gotta see if I can find that video online.

Ben Dreith, NFL referee, explaining a 15-yard penalty over the intercom:  "Number 99 of the defense, after tackling the quarterback, was giving him the business down there."

Boston Bruins = Disney on Ice.

As far as that one big hit goes, why was he on his knees on the blue line, he was kind of asking for it.  I guess Bostonians just have a habit of assuming the position.

So one player after tackling another beats the guy while on the ground....

Why were the announcers dancing around without explaining what was going on?
Did they think it had some kind of sexual meaning?

Please help explain to someone that doesn't watch football.

It's funny because WTF exactly is "Giving him the business"? Personal foul... for "giving him the business." Probably unnecessary roughness, unsportsmanlike conduct, roughing the passer, something... But "giving him the business"... Yeah.

"Giving him the business" is an old-school football term for punching a guy in the balls.

Puts a different perspective on the Ben Drieth call. Both clips are hilarious.
