Talk about Mickey Mouse! Now, the same people who got us into this mess by not protecting our borders, have a plan to save our asses. If we can memorize the colors of the day, we'll all be safe...or so they tell us. C'mon guys, get real. What do you really think we're going to do if you tell us it's a Red or Blue day? Let's just make this really simple. There are a whole bunch of "them" who want to kill all of us. They don't have an end game plan and they certainly don't play by any rules. Wouldn't it make sense to kill them BEFORE they nuke one or more of our cities...especially since they are apt to pick "The Logic Free Zone" (Washington, D.C...where you people who picked the colors live) as a primary target? I'm no genius, that's for sure, but I would at least make it perfectly clear to everybody in the Middle East that if there is one more terrorist attack of any kind...whatsoever...anywhere in this country, we will begin a systematic and certain effort to turn their world into glass.

I have never really liked this whole homeland security thing ever since is was created.  I mean, I thought we already had the Department of DEFENSE?  I know Rumsfeld is otherwise quite busy kicking the arses of terrorists right now, but comon.

The whole airport thing was just stupid.  I not am really worried about the 80 year old grandma busting down the cockpit door, and taking the plane down.  I am worried that they are molesting grandma while Akmed, walks through with a ticking suitcase without a second thought.

The whole Ridge statement about...  Well if pilots have guns then bus drivers and train engineers will want them too.  Well, yeah maybe, they would like to defend themselves as well.  Duh!!! Moron.

This whole color system.  So what I am supposed to do.  If the day is red do I sit at home cowering under the bed.  Or am I supposed to arm everyone at work to fight back?  Who the F*** cares.  I don't care if we are code red, blue, or purple with pink polka dots.  I want to have the ability to defend myself everyday.  I want my pilot to have a gun.  Hell, I want every passenger that wants to have a gun, to have one.

This whole "director of homeland security has been nothing but a complete Cluster F$%^ and I sure hope Bush figures it out.

Well, the problem is we're at green right now and they say we're at yellow.  Yellow is five minutes before an attack, red is when the attack is underway.  How does that help?  It doesn't.  In fact, I can see no way to translate the FBI's vague threat warnings into that colored scale and make any sense of it at all.  It's pure Orwellian horseshit.  Talk about using an ignorant society in order to consolidate power!

The best thing Tom Ridge can do for homeland defense is to RESIGN. This has GOT to be the most idiotic idea I've seen from the gubmint in a long time. Let's just face it, though. REAL homeland defense would be to use US-but that won't happen, because it would JUSTIFY personal firearms ownership. Who here on this board WOULDN'T spend a night or two guarding a power plant (nuclear or convential), shipyard, railroad yard or other important installation? And the gubmint screams and whines because these "potential targets" are loosely or completely unguarded? It's obvious that the lack of common sense is going to cost this country. [argue]
