Man I hope not.  It was kind of a mild summer in my neck of the woods.  Last winter was definitely one of the top 5 worst ones I've been through.

Meh. They don't know what it'll do tomorrow.

Besides, I have a ton of vacation saved up. It snows, I stay home.

Every sign I see points to an early winter.  My gut is telling me to stockpile food.  Maybe I'm just paranoid this year due to the bad winter last year...but my gut feelings are rarely wrong.

It's possible, but they can't usually get the weather correct a week out. I'm old, so I've seen some bad winters in Ohio during my life.

I was stuck in that storm for 18 hours for my job. I consider myself a very good driver, with a racing background and a perfect driving record. The drivers were only half the problem. The roads were truly horrible. They were covered in 2'-4" clear, frozen, slick ice. It was like ice skating. The DOT and the State did a piss poor job of handling it. It was the worst road experience ever.

I have a feeling they may be right. This was an awesome mild summer, last winter sucked and I think this one will be worse. Either way I'm ready for it.

Last year was record snowfall for us.

I'm getting ready for a bad one.  I'm doing tons of cleaning and preparing.  Last winter was miserably cold.  I talked to a lot of people in their late 80's/early 90's and they had never seen a winter like that.

We are getting our monsoon rains right on time this year. During dove season.

If the pattern holds we could have a winter like I remember as a kid. There will be a few good snowstorms with 6-12 inches of accumulation which will melt off the next day.
We might get a bad ice storm in January or February.

We haven't had any winter to speak of in a long time. Maybe some dustings of snow and a couple of weeks of cold. Otherwise 60-70 during the day and 25-30 at night.

It was a hot and dry summer this year in my neck of the woods. I figure we will have a dismal, chilly, and rain filled weather pattern starting in the next couple weeks and hopefully ending as soon as mid June. I doubt it though, I think it won't end until 2016 at some point.

Hey, I was one of those out and about laughing at all the idiots last year.

Which reminds me, I need to order a set of tow cables. If I had had those last year I could have made enough to retire in two weeks!

I moved out of MI already. Worst winter imaginable here is better than the best winter in MI. Bring it on.

It was 70 in fucking February and people were bitching about how cold the winter was. There was snow on the ground a total of 50 hours. I loled.

I think a ton of southern drivers would kill themselves here on a normal snow day.
