I think this is the correct forum for this question:

I'm currently designing artwork (for myself): logos, patches, t-shirt designs, decals, etc. on paper and would like to move onto the computer.
What software would you recommend?

TIA

Anything you are going to eventually print needs to be in vector graphic mode.

So, Adobe Illustrator, GIMP, or one of the free SVG editing software tools.

If you are actually DRAWING for the concept, you'll want to re-create the concept on the screen, not do something like use a scanner or photo. (Both of which will generate a bitmap type image, not a vector type image.)

Software that will allow me to draw on the computer is what I'm looking for.
I don't want to manipulate already created shapes, etc.
