OK. I know I'm gonna get bashed but I have to ask.
While trying to do some research on the net about parts/reviews. I kept being sent to Air Soft crap. While doing so I see that the flash hiders are Red/Orange. Here is my question. If you where to paint the flash hider on a AR-15 Red/Orange to look like a Air Soft gun. Could there be any legal issues with this??? That is my dumb question. THANKS!!!! |

Don't think it's illegal, but the question is -- WHY? Just was one of those dumb thoughts that I had today. Yes one of many. Strictly was wondering if this could cause a problem. In the regards that the color Red/Orange indicates its a toy. That's why Air Soft stuff has them Right???? |

It's not illegal, that I know of, but isn't very smart.
Imagine getting stopped by a cop and he see your black rifle with a painted orange muzzle device. He may think you're up to something nefarious and welcomes the man into your life. Just keep it at a stupid question. |

Now I have a question: Can someone who has an order preventing them from owning firearms own airsoft guns? I'd guess yes. Why not. No 4473 no possession of a firearm, right? Even in ny an air soft isn't a firearm. I think. I'll go check now.
Eta Seems legal most places. |
