I listen to what passes for rap these days on occasion, but its more pop than anything. Nelly isn't bad, Eminem is OK lyric-wise, etc. My favorites would be like Xzibit's first CD, Outkast's "Aquemini", and just about anything by Ludacris that isn't played on the radio. O yeah, and I'm a white boy that grew up in the sticks. I always laughed in school when some 16 year old hick white boy in his jacked-up truck and KKK bumber stick (no shit where I lived) came into school blasting Ludacris :P

Man, you guys suck. Rap is so cool. Mac Dre spit shit about the town laying slaps down about the game and boomers it was siiiiiick! Some of Petey Pablos shits okay, as long as you don't know he's the rapper. Ludacris is the black eminem and he's pretty good at it. Young Jeazzy is spitting the real slap, got chunk and ready to peel your bitch. I got some underground r-e-n-o- shit from the guys who really do it. The slap is way to much for some of you guys.

I refuse to listen to music (or talking to a sampled loop) which glorifies ghetto culture.
There have been hip-hop songs that I tolerated, but if it's gangsta shit no way. If you're a white boy digging it, you embarass me. Real men do not emulate inner city thugs. I guarantee when you're a man, settled down into an adult life, you will look back on your "rap phase" and cringe in embarassment that you adored something made by people who hated you. |

That was the last time I listened intentionally. RunDMC with AeroSmith was cool. Cypress Hill did a few cool tunes as did NWA. The best Rap of all time was "Cowards in Compton" by 2livecrew. |
