What are items that you feel are a must have when you go to the range? I am basically asking you to make a checklist. Mine consists of guns, ammo, ear muffs, ear plugs, a screwdriver, a stappler, thumbtacks, and screws for affixing cardboard targets to backers, eyeglasses, and a gun rest/vise. Does anyone have any items to add? Thanks.

In my range bag, I have pistols, ammo, eyes and ears (extra pairs of both for any new shooters), a small kit of random tools (screwdrivers, short cleaning rod, barrel bushing wrench, etc.), magazines, stapler, extra staples, 200 mph tape (it always has some use...), and that's about it.

Sometimes I'll take my range box with me that has all my cleaning gear and chemicals in it when I go to shoot rifles.  I have all my junk I take with me to shoot high power in a Ray-Vin range cart (ammo, magazines, spare sling, notebook, rule book, eyes and ears, etc).

Bring more ammo than you think you'll shoot.

Sometimes it's crowded so I limit my shooting.

Sometimes it's a magical late afternoon and I've got the range all to myself for 3 hours.  It's nice to have an extra 100 rounds or so when you get lucky.

Most don't have any.
Always fun to ask someone at the range, where their "Med" stuff is.

Mines a full "Blow Out Kit with First-Aid stuff".

Oh, I also wear my Body Armor.

more or less the same as Repo1911 & moparman71

While I keep a First aid in the car, I keep another in my range bag with me.
Contains the usual suspects, but 50% of the first aid kit space is taken up with two large wound field dressings. It is these that I like to keep close to hand. Paranoid ? Maybe.

I have a range bag for my pistols and another range bag for rifles. The stuff inside is pretty much the same and consists of the stuff covered here. The range is not too far from my house, and is also a pretty well-stocked gun store. Anything I really need I can buy there, or just go home if my weapons break down (hasn't happened yet!).

Stuff I find useful includes:

Staple gun and staples
Clothespins
Otis cleaning kit
Patches, solvent and CLP
Rangefinder
Krestal wind meter
Mag loader (LULA or stripper clips and quick loader)
Multitool
Shooting gloves (just in case)
Earplugs
Mags and ammo
Pistol sight pusher
Rifle sight tool
Drinks
AR15 spare parts (e.g., bolt, bolt parts)
Punches
First aid kit
Spotting scope
Shooting rest and sandbag
Rags to lay my mags on (benches have a layer of sand or dirt on them. This will get on your mags and inside your weapon when you insert a mag)

You will come up with your own list of stuff. Some people like a little more; some a little less. Good luck mate.
