So I was forced into the new Lollipop version of Android on my LG G3 and now I get notifications left and right about downloads. Every time I view specific threads I get a forced download of the same file every time it loads.

I can't view these and have no idea what they are. Getting to the point where I can't surf on mobile. Maybe I'll try JRS...

ETA - Does not appear to be happening on JRS.

Good catch, no help found in the Google searches I've done. Please let me know if you figure out how to stop it.

ETA - Well I was able to "uninstall updates" for chrome in the application manager which appears to have stopped it. Were you using chrome as well?

Started happening to me today, although I had lollipop for several weeks now. I checked deny on the chrome pop-up, we'll see what happens over the next little while.

Do you guys have Facebook app installed?

I went to page 1182 of the U Laugh U Lose thread, and the only photo not showing was one from Planovet. I checked it on my desktop and it was a FB photo.

Here is the post in question

I googled and found that FB was downloading weird stuff after Android updates a few updates back.

Were you on a page with a youtube video about the National Guard and Hurricane Irene by any chance?

Seems it's something to do with the Youtube preview box here on ARFcom. Doesn't look malicious at least.

Someone page Goatboy.

http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1736565_Arfcom_is_downloading_things_to_my_phone_.html

Now I'm getting all kinds of Chrome failure messages (followed by closing the window), "downloading" prompts with nothing showing up in the tool bar, pages won't refresh unless I close and reopen.  Galaxy S5 running the latest update (Whatever came out a week or two ago to fix the cluster fuck of the original lollipop update).
