So I have a question for anybody who has experience in a Ram Megacab. Is it easy to install stuff behind the rear seats?
I am currently in an F150 Supercab and I have a Tuffy locked box under my backseats. I want to upgrade to a Ram 2500 Megacab with a 6.4L. However, I don't see anything similar to the tuffy box for Ram Megacabs, so Ive been thinking about installing either this or maybe this. However, Im not sure how easy it is so bolt stuff down behind the seats in current generation megacabs. I found this thread with some pics on the dimensions behind the seats. I see that I can fit either of my choices pretty easily but I was wondering what anybody with actual experience with megacabs thinks about the space behind the seats. Do you think bolting down a small lock box like one of the above back there is practical/doable? Im thinking that Ill just leave the gun in the lockbox and all my tools would just rest in a wooden box that I'd put together myself. Unless anybody knows of a larger locked container that would fit back there without interfering with the seats folding down and still allowing them to recline a little bit. |

Quoted: I hadn't really considered the ram box. Interesting. Gonna play with Rams website and see if thats an option thats compatible with Megacabs. Unless it is the Laramie model or a subwoofer option on a lower end model there should be storage space under the rear seats (and usable space at that) but it is not lockable ETA: Looks like there are some factory options too which add more storage space. |

You can get the rambox with a megacab.
The space behind the seats has storage doors in the floor. It is not level with the floor of the cab. Mine has a subwoofer in the passenger side storage space. Also, the power window motor I think is in there. You can put stuff under the seats but then you are limited in folding them flat-ish. |
| I just found this old thread. Thought it was interesting. Would you guys run anything like that? |
