Hard head foils robbers


Hong Kong - Two Hong Kong muggers failed to rob a woman after the toy gun they were using shattered into pieces when they hit her over the head, police and a media report said.

The woman, 45, was walking through a car park on her way to work early on Thursday when the two men grabbed her and tried to rob her, police said.

"She was then hit over the head with a toy gun which broke into pieces ... the two robbers fled empty-handed towards a hillside," Chief Inspector Wong Tsan-tim was quoted as saying by the South China Morning Post.

Plastic parts of the toy gun including the barrel and trigger were found later, he said. Police are still hunting for the men.
